Buying amethyst and smoky quartz from miners at Brandburg Mountain in Namibian desert. Everyone was glad to see us

Primitive living conditions from Brandberg miners in desert; no electricity, no water, no firewood, no crops.

Buying aquamarine, garnet, schorl, and topaz from villagers, near the Erongo Mountains in Namibia. Locals are very friendly. Aquas were super.

B& B at Vis Namibia
Breakfast at our B&B in Vis Namibia. The pool was great after a hot day of buying minerals at the mines.

Tsumeb Mine headframe; sourced some fine azurites there.

A magnificent bull Kudu in Etosha National Park where we spent two days.

We got up close and personal with many of Africa's wild animals in Etosha.

Some of the group took a dawn ultralite flight near Brandberg.

Geologist at Okorusu fluorite mine gave us a great tour of the pits and later let us pick out some specimens for purchase from the storeroom.
